Total Body Conditioning combines interval training with
functional strength, core stability, balance, flexibility and relaxation
exercises and nutritional and lifestyle advice to offer you a truly holistic
and effective exercise program.
Interval style training makes the program suitable for
all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced.
Group sessions are run on:
Saturday mornings in Centennial
Park (8.30am - 9.45am)
Wednesday lunchtimes in the Botanical Gardens (12.30pm - 1.30pm)
Total Body Conditioning Program ($160):
- A comprehensive lifestyle questionnaire to help you identify your
appropriate exercise level and lifestyle factors to change to achieve
optimum health.
- An 8-week balanced training program.
- A one on one nutrition and lifestyle consultation.
- Session 1 - Initial fitness assessment and flexibility session
- Session 2 - Interval training session with functional leg
strength exercises
- Session 3 - Interval training session with functional upper
body strength exercises
- Session 4 - Interval training session with functional core
strength exercises
- Session 5 - Interval training session with functional leg
strength exercises
- Session 6 - Interval training session with functional upper
body strength exercises
- Session 7 - Interval training session with functional core
strength exercises
- Session 8 - Final fitness reassessment and relaxation exercises
Total Body Conditioning Plus Package ($310)
includes the Total Body Conditioning Program above together with:
- A Kathmandu heart rate monitor to help you effectively and safely
increase your fitness level.
- A pedometer to track your daily movement and to encourage you to increase
your incidental fitness levels.
- A copy of How to eat, move and be healthy by Paul Chek - a complete
guide to achieving optimum health.

What is Total Body Conditioning?
Total Body Conditioning is a holistic group exercise program that focuses
on improving all aspects of your health and fitness. It is designed to
increase aerobic fitness, strength and tone, reduce body fat, improve
balance, stability and flexibility and to teach you how to make healthy
lifestyle choices. Total Body Conditioning combines interval training
with functional strength, core stability, balance, flexibility and relaxation
exercises and nutritional and lifestyle advice to offer you a truly holistic
and effective exercise program. The interval style training makes the
program suitable for all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced. The
program consists of 8 sessions run outside in Centennial Park or the Botanical Gardens
over an 8 week period together with nutrition and lifestyle advice to
help you get real results.
Do I need to be fit to join Total Body Conditioning?
No - that's why you are coming to us! You will receive a comprehensive
lifestyle questionnaire to help identify your appropriate exercise level.
With the Total Body Conditioning Plus Package you will also receive a
heart rate monitor and pedometer to make sure that you exercise at your
own level. On day one of the course you will also take part in an initial
fitness assessment so that we can adjust our program to suit all participants.
In group sessions participants will train using interval style principles
so that participants can train at their individual optimal levels.

When does the next course run?
Total Body Conditioning starts approximately every 3 months. The next
course in Centennial Park commences on Saturday 5th July 2008. The next course in the Botanical Gardens commences on Wednesday 23rd July 2008.
Where do we meet?
In Centennial Park we meet by the woods at Lachlan Reserve. To get there, drive down Dickens Drive through the centre of Centennial Park, cross over the intersection with Parkes Drive and continue along Dickens Drive. Park about 100 metres after the intersection near the toilet block - the meeting spot is by the woods on the right hand side of Dickens Drive.

In the Botanical Gardens we meet on the grass at the top of the big steps at Mrs Macquarie's Chair.

How is Total Body Conditioning different to other fitness programs?
